How do I withdraw funds from my Betterment Checking account?
Betterment Checking offers multiple ways to access your funds. Below are the available methods:
1. Withdraw from Betterment Checking to a linked bank account
Using a web browser:
- Log in to your Betterment account.
- Navigate to "Transfer or Rollover" in the upper-right corner of your home screen.
- Select "Withdraw" and complete the prompts to specify the account and amount.
- Funds will be sent to your linked bank account.
Using the mobile app:
- On the Home page, tap “Move Money”
- Select your Checking account and complete the prompts.
- Funds will be sent to your linked bank account.
Processing Time: Withdrawals from Betterment Checking to a linked funding account typically take 1–2 business days. In some cases, such as withdrawing recently deposited funds, the process may take up to 6 business days.
Account Requirements: All linked external accounts must be held in your name.
2. ATM Withdrawals
- Use your Betterment Visa® Debit Card to withdraw cash from any ATM.
- Fee Reimbursement: Betterment reimburses all ATM fees worldwide, including foreign transaction fees.
- Daily ATM Withdrawal Limit: $510, including any surcharges from ATM operators (which are reimbursed).
Note: The Betterment Visa® Debit Card can only withdraw funds from your Betterment Checking account.
