Can I send money to someone else through Betterment?

Betterment does not directly support peer-to-peer money transfers. However, you can use third-party platforms like Venmo or Cash App to send or receive funds from your Betterment Checking account (Individual or Joint).

Key Points to Know:

  • Betterment Checking Only: Peer-to-peer platforms are compatible only with funds in Betterment Checking accounts.
  • Other Accounts: Peer-to-peer transfers are not available for other account types, such as Cash Reserve or Investing. To transfer funds from these accounts, you must first withdraw them to a linked bank account in your name. Refer to our Transaction Timeline Table for processing times.
