Can I use my Betterment Visa® Debit Card internationally?

The Betterment Visa® Debit Card works in most countries. However, transactions are not supported in certain locations due to U.S. financial regulations and security restrictions.

Countries where the Betterment Visa® Debit Card cannot be used:

Why can’t I use my Betterment Visa® Debit Card in these countries?

We are unable to process transactions in these locations due to U.S. government sanctions, banking regulations, and security policies. These restrictions help financial institutions comply with anti-money laundering laws and prevent fraud, terrorism financing, and other financial crimes.

What should I do if I’m traveling to a restricted country?

Since your Betterment Visa® Debit Card won’t work in these locations, we recommend withdrawing cash in advance or using an alternative payment method.
